MY SISTER w/ Akashinga

My upcoming release “My Sister” is a beautiful song that I wrote and was able to record in a meaningful way during my time in Zimbabwe. I had the pleasure of meeting and laying down the chorus of this song with the Incredible Akashinga, who are an all woman’s anti poaching group, working tirelessly to protect Elephants and Wildlife in Africa through the International Anti Poaching Foundation.

The song is dedicated to the power women have as carers of Mother Earth and to female empowerment around the world. 

Each day during this journey, I traveled to the remote village, rehearsed, set up a mobile recording studio in their church, recorded the audio of the choir, as well as filmed video content for the campaign in what was a truly ambitious project to orchestrate. I am honored to be sharing it with the world soon.
